Water Disruptions

15th February, 2012 - Wednesday

Carlow County Council wishes to advise consumers in the Graiguecullen area that due to essential maintenance works being carried out under the Carlow Main Drainage Scheme, there will be a water shut off between the hours of 12 midnight Thursday 16th February, 2012 and 6.00 a.m. Friday 17th February, 2012 affecting the following areas: Chapel Street, Church Street, Maryborough Street, Sleaty Street, Ninety Eight Street, Henry Street, Morrins Lane, Barrow Street, St. Fiaac's Terrace, St. Clare's Road, Governey Park, Pearse Road, Staunton Avenue, Pacelli Avenue, Derrig Avenue, Colclough Avenue, Maher Road, Duggan Avenue, Croppy Place. Please store water for use during this time. Carlow County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused.


14th February, 2012 - Tuesday

Carlow County Council wishes to advise consumers that due to essential maintenance works being carried out under the Carlow Main Drainage Scheme, there will be a water shut off between the hours of 12 midnight tonight 14th February, 2012 and 4.30 a.m. Wednesday 15th February, 2012 in the following areas: Link Road from Brownshill Road to Eire Óg, Askea Lawns, Mount Leinster Park, Ashgrove, Woodgrove, Dereen Heights, Cherrymount Drive and Idrone Park. Please store water for use during this time. Carlow County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused.


09th February, 2012 - Thursday

Carlow County Council wishes to advise consumers that due to essential maintenance works being carried out under the Carlow Main Drainage Scheme, there will be a water shut off between the hours of 12 midnight tonight Thursday 9th February 2012 and 4.30am Friday 10th February 2012 in the Tullow Road Area ( from Closh Pump to Walls Forge ) also affecting the Link Road ( from Brownshill to Eire Óg ) and all Housing Estates along the Tullow Road. Please store water for use during this time. Carlow County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused.


07th February, 2012 - Tuesday

Carlow County Council wishes to advise consumers in Carlow Town that due to essential maintenance works being carried out under the Carlow Main Drainage Scheme, there will be a water shut off between the hours of 12 midnight tonight Tuesday 7th February, 2012 and 4.00 a.m. Wednesday 8th February, 2012 in the Old Dublin Road area, also affecting College Street, Tullow Street and Barrack Street. Please store water for use during this time.


19th January, 2012 - Thursday

Carlow County Council wish to advise consumers in Carlow Town that due to essential maintenance works being carried out on the network, there will be a water shut off between the hours of 9 p.m. on Thursday 19th January and 2 a.m. on Friday 20th January, 2012 affecting consumers in the O’Brien Road from Deerpark to Hacketstown Road area. Consumers are advised to store water for use during this time. Also, consumers on the Dublin Road, Oakpark Road, Oaklawns, Green Lane, Highfield, Dr. Cullen Road may experience loss in water pressure. Carlow County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused.


17th January, 2012 - Tuesday

To facilitate works associated with the Carlow Watermain Rehabilitation Scheme, it will be necessary to turn off the trunk main supply on Browneshill Road from 10pm Wednesday 18th January 2012 to 6am on Thursday 19th January 2012. This trunk main services areas which include Browneshill Road, Staplestown Road, Fairgreen, New Oak, Hanover, Monacurragh, Kilkenny Road, Burrin Road, Green Road, Paupish Lane, Blackbog Road, Mortarstown, Burrin Street/Pembroke, O'Brien Road and Granby Row. Carlow County Council wishes to apologise in advance for an inconvenience caused.


11th January, 2012 - Wednesday

Carlow County Council wish to advise consumers in the Leighlinbridge Area that due to essential maintenance works being carried out there will be a water shut off between the hours of 10.00am to 5.00pm on Wednesday 11th January 2012. The areas affected will be from Ballinaboley to the Harrow Cross. Carlow County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused.


11th January, 2012 - Wednesday

Carlow County Council wishes to advise consumers in the Graiguecullen area that due to essential maintenance works being carried out under the Carlow Main Drainage Scheme, there will be a water shut off between the hours of 12 midnight Wednesday 11th January and 5.00 a.m. Thursday 12th January, 2012. Please store water for use during this time. Carlow County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused.


04th January, 2012 - Wednesday

Carlow County Council wishes to advise consumers in the Graiguecullen area that due to essential maintenance works being carried out under the Carlow Main Drainage Scheme, there will be interruptions to the water supply between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 12 midnight on Thursday 5th January, 2012. The areas to be affected as follows Chaff Street, Leighlin Road, The Numbers, Castleview Quay and surrounding areas. Interruptions will be kept to a minimum. Carlow County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused.


04th January, 2012 - Wednesday

Carlow County Council wishes to advise consumers in the Tinryland Area that due to the laying of a new watermain, there will be a water shut off between the hours of 8.30am to 12.00pm on Thursday 5th of January 2012. All areas of Tinryland will be affected. Please store water for use at this time. Carlow County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.


04th January, 2012 - Wednesday

Carlow County Council wishes to advise consumers in the Graiguecullen area that due to essential maintenance works being carried out under the Carlow Main Drainage Scheme, there will be a water shut off between the hours of 12 midnight Thursday 5th January and 5.00 a.m. Friday 6th January, 2012. Please store water for use during this time. Carlow County Council apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused.


Town Surface Water Drainage Scheme

The project demonstrates the commitment of both central and local government to the ongoing conservation of water, improvements to infrastructure and protection against flooding all of which are essential to Carlow’s sustainable development. There will be very clear communications well in advance of any road closures or water shut-offs that may take place.
