Carlow Local Authorities recommend all drivers be they Learners, Licensed or Professional to visit the Road Safety Authority driving test website. Learner Drivers can get all the information they need about learning to drive in Ireland; from how to apply for your learner permit and where to take the theory test, to finding an approved instructor and where to buy the Rules of the Road booklet. There is also valuable information for licensed drivers, professional drivers, pedestrians and cyclists in addition to vehicle legislation and road safety.
Driver Theory Test
The fee payable in respect of an application for a Driver Theory Test will be €45 from 12 April 2012. This will apply to the following Learner Permit categories CAR - MOTORCYCLE - BUS - TRUCK. The Fee payable in respect of an application for a Driver CPC theory Test will be €72 from 12 April 2012. This will apply to the following test Categories MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS FOR BUS / TRUCK - CASE STUDIES BUS / TRUCK.
