Water Services Investment
The Assessment of Needs provides the basis for scheme approval and inclusion in the Water Services Investment Programme. The new Assessment of Needs covers the period 2010 – 2012.
The main purpose of the assessment is to develop an overall strategic investment plan for the medium to long term and to set out a programme of works to meet the identified water services needs.
The report focuses on:
- The prioritisation of contracts and schemes essential to meeting water conservation targets.
- Schemes required to meet statutory and environmental duties.
- The provision of infrastructure necessary for the future economic development of Carlow County and Town.
